More About Us

What is Self-Directed Support?

Self-Directed Support (SDS) provides a budget to arrange your own support. Fraser Elite guides you through the assessment, then helps you convert your allocation into a care package that fits you perfectly. SDS allows people eligible for social care to choose how their support is arranged and delivered. You’ll go through a simple assessment process with your local authority, and once approved, you’ll have four options:

Option 1:
Direct Payment

You receive a cash payment to arrange your own support directly (that’s where we can step in).

Option 2:
Individual Service Fund

You choose your provider, but the budget is held and managed by the local authority or another organisation

Option 3:
Direct Service

The local authority selects and delivers your care.

Option 4:
A mix of options

Flexibility to combine any of the above to suit your needs.
