Working hours – either mornings or evenings your choice and full days Saturday and Sunday every 2nd week.
We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to our Team. The role of being a Team Leader is an important role within Fraser Home Care & the social care industry. You may be required to lead, develop and co-ordinate a team of care workers and be assigned to cover the first line on-call out-of-hours service on a rotation. This enables Fraser Home Care to continue to provide the highest standards of respect and care to all clients. Overall ensuring the dignity of the clients is always maintained.
What the role involves
Following practice policies, protocols and guidelines, duties will include:
Mentoring/encouraging (Buddy System) new recruits into post throughout the six-month probation period including offering support/advise/guidance in a supportive encouraging way.
Carry out pre-arranged holiday on-call rotational cover including shift cover when required for the needs of the business.
Reporting any issues to the senior management team.
Mentoring in new inductees by being supportive when carrying out you’re on-call duties and when assigned to client runs.
Carry out duties as assigned by your senior line managers.
Attend induction, in-house training sessions and staff meetings.
Managing and supporting workers so that they can perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability as part of your day-to-day duties when out delivering care.
Carry out spot checks.
Day-to-day management of client enquires.
First point of contact for carers.
Monitoring/issuing PPE.
Supporting senior line managers in the workplace according to standards and legislation requirements.
Acting as a positive role model to carers.
Carrying out client reviews.
Carrying out back to work monitoring/ interviews.
Working in partnership with other professionals to ensure individuals get the support they need when delivering care to them and recording relevant information so this can be updated into care plans.
Team working.
Work as an effective and responsible team member, supporting colleagues in a flexible and approachable manner.
Arranging with line managers dates for carrying out staff spot checks.
Continue to partake in pre-arranged on-call rota structure.

Previous experience within a care setting is essential. You will be required to have good organisational and time management skills. The ability to work proactively and on your own initiative and with attention to detail. Ability to work flexibly and to workload demands. Commitment to developing within the role and keenness to participate in appropriate training opportunities.
You will be required to register with SSSC if your application is successful.
